SUMMER!

Hey! As you all know summer is coming!! Summer is a time for family, friends, fun, a little relaxation, and a chance to get away! Right now I don't have any plans. Wait now that I think about it I have some plans (and wannabe plans). I'll start at the beginning. The first thing I do is a dance recital (if you are interested in coming I will post more information at the bottom.) Then I have a sewing camp and a couple weeks later a acting/dance camp. Those three things are all with the same teacher! Next I go a camp at my school! I really can't wait for that!! I don't think I'm doing anything else. But I do have a couple More things I want to do. I want to go to an art camp at Crealde! My friend went there and she had a lot of fun! Also my art teacher works there and I love her! S I think that would be a lot of fun. I also want to go to the beach with my aunt Di! We went a couple summers ago and had a blast! I'm like 99.9% sure that we will be going to the beach a lot to see my Grammy. I like going to both beaches! I also want to go to Maryland to see my other grandma, Baba. I think that's all  want to do this summer. Oh wait I also want to go to the beach with my friend. She has a condo there. She took me there on my birthday! Now that is all I want to do this summer! And I only have to wait like 8 more days!!!

~ Carrie J.

PS The dance recital is on June 7th at 2:00 pm! Tickets are free! Just tell me how many you want! I'll bring them to school!

Earth!

Hello! As a school field trip we went to go see Earth! It was a really good movie, but also really sad. It also got me thinking...

What are we doing to the place we call home? Developing and changing is good, but what about the effect? Earth is the one place we can live. It's not like a cell phone or computer. If we break it we can't go buy a new one. Before there were cars. Before there were computers. Before there was technology. I bet that the air wasn't polluted. Families knew what was going on in each other's lives. The Earth movie featured a polar bear. He was father of two adorable baby polar bears (I think they're called cubs...maybe). Well Mr. polar bear was out searching for food. He couldn't find any. Do you want to know why? Two words, GLOBAL WARMING. The ice was melting and he couldn't find a good place to hunt for seals. He swam and swam. And then I'm not going to tell you what happened because you might want to see the movie. I've heard that polar bears only have a little while until all of the ice melts. If all of the ice melts the polar bears will have no where to live. To try to help save the polar bears (and the earth). Try a couple of these tips: (They also will help you get to know your family better. They may also even save you a little money.)

1. Ride your bike! It also makes you feel good!
2. Reduce.
3. Reuse.
4. Recycle
5. Carpool.
6. Plan closer vacations.
7. Buy locally grown produce.
8. Shut of computers when not in use.
9. Turn off lights when leaving a room.
10. Play outside! Don't sit in your house watching T.V.
11. Only charge cell phones/cameras when completely dead.
12. Unplug camera/cell phones when completely charged
13. Plant a garden.
14. Eat the fruits and veggies from your garden.
15. Plant a tree.
16. Have a special time (like dinner time) with your family. No technology.
17. Have a family game night. Maybe once a week. Have everyone get a choice of what to do.
18. Have fun!

Jim Henson

Last week our school went to the museum. They had a special exhibit on Jim Henson. He was an amazing person! Do you know who he was? Well I know you know what he did.. He created the Muppets! Ya know, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird (one my favorites), Kermit?!?!? That's what I thought. So at the museum they had the original Bert and Ernie! How cool is that?!?!?!? Well I thought it was pretty cool! They had a very interesting movie about him and his creations. After this trip I wanted to learn more about him! So I went to the library and got two books about him and Sesame Street. Then I found a book at my house that was called My Life As A Furry Red Monster. It is about the guy who played Elmo!! It is kinda funny to see the person behind the puppet! Oh yeah before I go I want to tell you the most interesting fact I learned about him and his puppets. Kermit the frog was first made with a coat and some ping pong balls! Okay well I've got to go sleep bye for now!

POEM!

I'm not sure why but I was inspired to write a poem about each of my favorite colors. I'll start with Yellow because it was always my favorite color.

The color of the sun
Is my color number one
The color of lemons is not gold
Yellowy colors are so very bold
Another thing that is yellow is Big Bird
This is the end of my poem, WORD

The next color is pink
Now I have to think
Pink grapefruits are a light red
So are the blankets and sheets on my bed
Pink is the shade of some roses
They smell so sweet through noses

Last but least least
Is the shade of a beast
He has one eye
He goes soaring through the sky
A tasty treat that is purple is a grape
A circle is what is it's shape

POPTROPICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there! So as you read in my last blog I have a lot of free time on my hands. Two ways I fill that time is on facebook and poptropica. I'm sure everyone has heard of facebook, but have you heard of poptropica? I didn't think so but by the end of this blog you will be an expert of poptropica!

When you arrive at poptropica.com you either click returning player (like me) or new player. Then you put boy or girl..blah blah blah. Once you get in is the fun part there are like 8 different worlds. There are carrot loving ones, ones with giant sharks, and even ones with spies! You chose your place and start!

It is kind of for smaller kids but I still like to play on it! You may be wondering how I found this website. Well the way I found it was from my friend, Greycyn (Hi Greycyn if you're reading this)! Well she showed it to me and I thought it was kind of strange but it turned out to be a lot of fun!

One day at school Olivia and Emma (Hi Liv! Hi Em) were on it and I was like "Oh my gosh! Poptropica??? I lover that website!" And now we all play it at school (at free time of course)! Ya know what, I'm even playing it right now!

~Carrie J.

Oh yeah I almost forgot... Here is the website http://www.poptropica.com/

Biggest Loser

Helloooooooooooooooooooo! As I promised in a previous blog (the Arthur one, I think..) I am going to write about the show the Biggest Loser!!

The show has been going on for about 7 seasons, since 2004. One of the most memorable things (well at least I think so) was after the show was over. This happened in the second season of the Biggest Loser. The Winner and like the third place person fell in love. The Winner was named Matt, and the third place winner was named Suzy. Matt lost 157 pounds (amazing I know) and Suzy lost a total of 95 pounds. Now enough about season 2. Let's go to this year, the season that is still going on.

This is a couples season. There is this one girl who is named Tara that is DESTROYING the competition! I hope she wins! There are five people left (I think). There names are Helen (a mother), Ron (Mike's father), Mike (Ron's son), Phillipe (a cousin) and last but not least Tara (a friend/former model). And that's it! Hope you enjoyed reading about the biggest loser.

MY FAVORITE GAME!

Hey everyone! How are you? I'm great! (: This blog I wanted to tell you all about my new (and Sidney, Sasha, Maddy, Emma and Olivia's) favorite game! Let me see if you can guess. Okay so their are toe teams, (like most games) you hide something, and uh... you can get tagged and go to jail! Did you guess? Well the game is.......CAPTURE THE FLAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So were you right?? Well even if you didn't it is a really fun game! If you don't know how to play, I'm going to tell you. If you do know who to play, I'm still going to tell you! (:

Okay so the first thing we do is randomly pick teammates, we do this to mix up the teams. Next we let someone pick which side they want, the art room or the front yard. Then each team goes and hides their flags. Sometimes people play with the flags not hidden, but we think that finding the fun is like three-quarters of the fun! After that we start to play! The teams try to get past the other teams players so they can try to find their flag. If they get caught, they have to go to jail. Then one of their teammates has to tag them out of jail. Whoever finds the other team's flag first wins!

Now you know how to play CAPTURE THE FLAG!

APRIL 13TH! My Favorite Day!

Okay so every year everyone has a special day that is just about them. It's their birthday of course! My birthday was yesterday, I'm finally 13 (yay!)! The best part about it was that my friends Kristen and Caroline, and my sister Katie planned this fabulous surprise party! This is how it went down. Kristen broke into our house at like 6:40am and bounced on my bed. I kind of freaked out. She was yelling and screaming "We're going to the beach! We're going to the beach! We're going to the beach! We're going to the beach!". So then we drove to Kristen's beach condo. There was a really cool pool at the beach, there was an indoor pool, two hot tubs, a giant hot tub, three pools, a lazy river, and a little waterfall thing. My favorite thing there was the slide and the lazy river! The lazy river was freezing which is why I loved it! I would go down backwards so it was really scary and a lot of fun! I just had a whole day of laughs, splashes, and fun filled fun!

MARYLAND!!

Hey everyone! Its Tuesday, the second day after sping break. Well MY first day back (more on that later!). But in this blog I'm going to tell you all about my trip to Maryland! My family and I left on Wednesday morning, and not at like 8 or 9 or even 7. It was 4 o’clock in the morning!!!!!!! We had to wake up at 3:30AM! It was not fun. The reason we got such an early flight was because if we get there early then we have the whole day there! Well after we woke up a bit we did the following;

Wednesday: On Wednesday we went to The National Aquarium, ate some crab and drove to my grandma/uncle’s house.

Thursday: Went to Washington DC, looked through the Smithsonian museums, ate cheese burgers, and went to my grandma/uncle’s.

Friday: Drove to Washington DC (again), walked around the National Zoo, ate crab, and went shopping.

Saturday: We went to my grandma/uncle’s to eat breakfast/birthday cake, looked at some interesting art at the Visionary Art Museum with my cousins, ate more crab, and went back to my grandma/uncle’s.

Sunday: Left to head back to Florida!

So that was pretty much my trip to Maryland/Washington DC! I had a lot of fun. Well until next time, Carrie J.

Circle F Dude Ranch!!!!

Hi! On Friday my family and I headed out to Circle F Dude Ranch! WHAT? You've never heard of Circe F? Well that actually doesn't surprise me that much. Well Circle F is a place where families get together and just hang out! We've been going for I don't know about the last 8 years! And that's twice a year! Well back to Circle F. There are a lot of fun actives to do. You can ride horses, play paintball, kayak, canoe, swim, rock climb, build-a-boat, play kickball, hang out with counselors, play on the the play ground, and perform a skit for the talent show! Oh yeah I almost forgot their is also a hay ride and s'mores! When I go I there my favorite thing to do is kayak! I want to explain what build-a-boat is, it is pretty unique. You are given three big pieces of cardboard your job is to make a boat! It is so much fun! We have made many creative boats that have never won. But I think that making the boat is all the fun!!

BRACES :|

HI HI! Right now I'm watching Suite Life Of Zack & Cody! My teeth hurt! Today at 8 o' clock I drove to Dr. McIntosh's office. Dr. McIntosh is my orthodontist. And today I had to get braces! It was a lot of fun!! haha..... not really! I got metal on the top and the bottom. That means I can get color on the top and the bottom! :) The colors I chose were yellow, pink, and green. (See picture picter below.) They really hurt. But I'm glad I have them. My teeth were (I guess still are) really crowded

And to make everything worse I forgot my wax at school. One good thing about braces is that if I wear my t-shirt that he gave me, I could win 50 bucks!! Yesh that's right 50 BUCKS! Wooo!

DISNEY! (:

Right now I'm watching the Biggest Loser! But I'm not going to blog about that this time, maybe another blog. I wanted to blog about my Sunday! As I'm sure you all know Sunday was a pretty.. uh what's the word..let's go with yucky. Yeah that's a good word, yucky. So Sunday was a pretty yucky day. But it was a great day for Disney World! No one thought that it would be a good day to go to Disney so we had pretty much the whole place to ourselves! My dad and I woke up and headed out. We stopped for at our favorite breakfast spot and drove to Disney, Disney Hollywood Studios to be exact. The first ride we went on was the scary, heart pounding, terrifying ride, TOWER OF TERROR! It is like a jumbo elevator (12 stores to be exact). You go up and go right back down. It was really really really scary!!! I hated it and loved it at the same time! After that scary/fun ride we went on my favorite ride the Rockin' Roller Coaster!!!! It is soooo much fun! It goes from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds!!!!!! There is also music blasting in your ears the entire time! The music is Aerosmith, they are really rock n' roll ish. Since I we love that ride so very much. We went on it for a SECOND time!!!! :D Then we went to Magic Kingdom. The rain started coming down more now. So we only went on The Buzz Lightyear ride! That ride is a fun ride and interactive too! You have to shoot these targets. I didn't do very well. My dad beat me! Well I've got to go, Biggest loser is back!

Monday!

Hi and welcome to my blog! Right now I'm sitting at my table at my house. I'm supposed to be at school but I've had this terrible (I repeat TERRIBLE) cough/cold. I'm sure you've all read Katie's blog. And for the record I got sick first. Now she's stealing MY thunder and trying to "one up me". Ah oh well. I'm feeling a whole lot better but I wanted to make sure I was 100% better before I go back to school, just to be on the safe side. I'm supposed to be doing math homework right now.... but I decided to take a little break and blog for a little while. I can only solve so many inequalities before I get too bored. Hmmm... what can I write about..? Oh yeah I'm getting braces on Thursday! YIKES! I'm kind of scared but excited at the same time! YAY! Before I go I want to tell you about last Tuesday. So (again I'm sure you've all read Katie's blog, but I want to tell you too.) Katie was freaking out this mole on her stomach. We went to the mole doctor, Dr. Johnson. She agreed with Katie so she removed it.. I was sitting in the little room where she was doing the "minor surgery". Bad idea. I started to feel funny. I felt like the room was spinning sort of. I felt kind of dizzy. I felt like I was going to barf. I was scared. Then I sat down, and stopped watching. I felt better instantly! When it was over and I sat up I was green! It was really weird! Then I was all better. And uh oh yeah so was Katie!

Miley Cyrus wrote a book!

Hey everyone! How are you? I’m good. Okay so I went to the mall on….Saturday, yeah it was Saturday. We entered through the Barnes and Noble and of course Katie made us stop because she found some book (like always). So I started to look at some books too. Then I found (are you ready for this?) Miles To Go by Miley Cyrus!! I was reading People magazine a little while ago and they had an article about her and her book. It also had a little part of it. I personally did not think it was going to be that great, but I was pleasantly surprised. The book is an autobiography. Speaking of autobiography did you know that auto means self, bio means life, and graph means something written (I just thought I throw a little Latin/Greek). Now back to the book. It starts off talking about her 6th grade years. She had a tough year. People would lock her in bathrooms! Can you believe that?!? The book is pretty good but it’s not my favorite book of all time.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Movies!

I'm sure all kids have had a special amimal and or a blanket. I'm sure they also had a favorite movie or tv show. Well when I was little my favorite movies were the Mary-Kate and Ashley movies. I liked the Your invited to... videos and the mystery ones. I liked them all. My family and I were on a family vacation to my grandmother's house. We went to a Good Will type of store and I found the Mary-Kate and Ashley Your Invited To Our Sleepover (or whatever its called). I just remember thinking that it was the best movie ever. Wow has my taste in movies changed. I remembered almost all of the words to the songs! It was very interesting to watch it after all of these years. Some of the songs were so boring to me now that i had to fast forward. It was also weird to see Mary-Kate and Ashley when they were like 7 or how ever old they were. Well I've got to run. Bye for now! (:

When I grow up I want to be a...

Greetings and welcome to my blog! Today I am going to tell you what I want to be when I grow up! I want to be a vet.

I would never ever be able to sit at a desk and answer phones or write things or something like that. I would want to be something exciting, like a vet. I think that being a vet would be fun and it would save animals lives. I always have loved animals, but never thought I could be a vet because I am afraid of blood and guts. (If you are afraid of blood and guts stop reading here) A little while ago my dad found a dead possum (I know gross right) and we decided to dissect it. It was very interesting. While we were cutting him open I realized I wasn’t scared anymore and that I could be a vet.

My Day!

Hey! What’s up? I’m at school typing my blog. I’m also wondering how many miles I (my mom) drives in a week. My teacher, Karin (Hi Karin), gave as an assignment to track how many miles we travel in a week. So far I’ve gone 14.7 miles. Well I actually haven’t gone that far yet, but that is going to be today’s mileage. I am still writing my blog and now I am asking my teacher if we can play kickball. I don’t think it’s looking to good. I have a feeling we’re not going to be able to play today. Let me go ask one more time. YES! We’re playing kickball! Well I got to go! Bye!! Hello again. We just finished playing kickball and my team lostL! But only by one run! Oh well it was just a lot of fun! Okay now I really have to go, bye!

A GREAT book series!

Hello there! So a couple days ago I was looking through my books and I found Regarding the Trees! WHAT? YOU’VE NEVER HEARD OF THE REGARDING THE… SERIES?!?!?!? Well let me fix that! The series consists of 4..no wait 5…yes 5 books. What makes them special (and AWESOME!) is the fact that they are written in letter form! The whole books are written in letters from a 5th (6th and 7th in later books) grade class in Geyser (formly known as, Dry and Spring) Creek Missouri to Florence Waters, a famous fountain designer. The books are funny, exciting, and have that feeling that you just want to know what is going to happen next!! They are written by Kate Klise. They pictures are drawn by her sister M. Sarah Klise. I always think that it would it be fun to do something like that with my sister! Okay well go to the library and pick yourself up a copy of Regarding The Fountain (The first book!)

A Question I've had

There is one question that is always asked, that question is “If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?” Sometimes people say “I would give it all away!” But would you really give it ALL away? I don’t think so, but maybe you would...if you were feeling extra generous. If I won a million dollars I would…

First I would buy myself some Betsy Johnson, Ed Hardy, or maybe just go on a shopping spree at Forever 21. I would probably spend a couple hundred (or maybe more…) of it on these. Then I would give five hundred (or more, I’m not sure) to each of my parents. I would donate 5 hundred to an animal shelter, or animal rescue or something like that. I would also give some (probably around $500) to St. Jude’s Hospital or another kid’s charity. Wow now that I add it all up I’ve only spent like$ 2,500! I would actually give my parents 1 or 2 thousand each, and give each charity a thousand! Now I’ve spent around $5,000. Then I would probably put a $100,000 in the bank for safe keeping. After that I would spend some more money on shopping and just put the rest in the bank until I want to buy more stuff!

~Carrie

PS Please comment and tell me what YOU would do with a million dollars!

Today!

Today was a very....exciting...nervous...and...painful day. Today was just like any other day except that I had a dentist appointment. I usually don't mind dentist appointments...well just cleanings I don't like fillings. But even worse than fillings I had to get four...yes four...teeth pulled. And not just baby teeth, but adult teeth with big fat roots! I had to get eight..again yes eight...shots in my mouth! As you can imagine this was not the most pleasant afternoon of my life. But to make all of this at least a little better, my father was going to pull them out. For me I liked it better to have him do it then someone else. Other people might not feel that way..but I do. I am very glad that I finally got that over with today! Now I have to get braces. When I was in first grade, I was asked "If you had to be one age for the rest of your life, how old would you be?" Me the little six year old answered "I would be 15 because I could baby sit and I would wear braces!" Looking back I think that it is hilarious that I actually wanted braces!!

A Story!

Dear People,
I wrote a story and I want to share it with you guys! Enjoy!

The lights were blinding, the crowd cheered, the band was great… BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I rolled over on my side to my night stand and hit the snooze button. This was the fifth dream I’ve had being on stage. I wish I hadn’t woken up. Ever since I was 2 I took dance classes. I also have been in a couple commercials (ones with really annoying jingles). But that was when I was 4 to 7 years old. I haven’t been in a commercial for like 6 years. Dancing and singing jingles were fun when I was little, but I want to move on to a bigger and better thing; becoming a famous singer.

Hi, I’m Daniella Harrington; a 13 year-old girl from St. Louis Missouri. I live in a navy blue two story house. I have a mom, a dad, an older sister (she is in her first year in college) and twin baby brothers (they are 4). I have green eyes and strawberry blonde hair.

I rolled out of bed. I stretched my legs and arms. I yawned and thought; I hate getting up every single morning. It’s a really good thing that this is the last day of school before summer!
“Daniella! Where are you? You need to get going!” my mom called from the bottom of the staircase.
“OK mom, I’m coming!” I replied from my room.
“Ok hurry up you don’t want to be late for school!” My mom said
How does she know I don’t want to be late for school? Maybe I want to be late! I thought to myself
I got dressed in a cute almost knee length rainbow striped dress; I put a pair of jeans underneath. I threw on my favorite gray sweater.
I look very cute today if I do say so myself! I thought myself.
“Daniella Stacy Harrington! We need to go right now!” my mom was irritated.
“Coming mother!” I called as I ran down the stairs and got in the car.

My mom pulled up to my middle school right on time (of course).
“Bye Mom! See you at 3:30!” I stepped out the car and closed the door.
“I love you!” Mom called to me as was walking away.
“I love you too.” I muttered.

“Dani! How are you?” my best friend, Susan called to me as soon as she saw me.
“Susie! I am Awesome! You?” I replied, I never call her Susan, just like she never calls me Daniella. She will call me Dani or Ella.
“I’m good! Oh I almost forgot to tell you, my mom wanted me to give this to you to give to your mom, it’s a thank you letter from when they went to the spa last week. ” Susie handed her the note. Susie had blonde hair and blue eyes.
“Ok thanks, I will give this to her.” Daniella put the note into her locker. Bring! Bring! Bring!
“That’s the bell; I’d better get to class!” Daniella hugged Susie.
“Ok, Bye, talk to you later!” Susie started to walk to her next class.

At 4:00 my mom pulled up.
“Where have you been?” I tapped my toe like I was mad at her (which I was kind of for picking me up 30 minutes late).
“I was talking to a music agent who is looking for new talent….” My mom explained
“Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me? Was he nice? What was he like? Did you tell him about me? Huh? Huh? Huh? TELL ME!” I was out of breath when I finished.
“No I am not kidding you, yes he was nice, he was a young man who seemed like he would be fun to work with, and of course I told him about you!”My mom answered all my questions in one sentence.
“Yay! I am pumped, when do I get to meet him?” I had a huge grin and I couldn’t help it!
“Today! Let’s go! Get in the car!” She opened the door on my side.

“Well that could have gone better!” I stepped out of the car and slammed the door. It was 5:30.
“I know you are mad but be careful with the car!” My mom said. I opened the door to our house and ran as fast as I could to my room. I slammed my stickered covered door. I grabbed my Hello Kitty Diary, my red pen (I use the red one when I am mad) and wrote;

Dear Diary,
Today was just about the worst day EVER, even though it is supposed to be great on the last day of school! The day started great Susie and I had lunch together, we didn’t get caught passing notes during class etc. The day got bad at 4:15! My mom took me to meet this mean(repeat MEAN) music agent who was “looking for new talent” which hello I AM NEW TALENT. And that MEAN agent wouldn’t know talent if it jumped and danced in front of him! He thought I sang as bad as a cat dying a slow and painful death! EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PREFORMED AND WON SCHOOL TALENT SHOWS FOR MY SINGING! He is just really mean and doesn’t know talent!

Sincerely,
Daniella S. Harrington

That feels much better! Now where is my phone? I want to call Susie! I thought that as I put my diary away. Uh-Ha there it is! I pulled my phone out of my homework desk that I have in my room. I dialed Susie’s number, she answered.
“Hey Susie its Daniella! What are you doing? I said after she said hi.
“Nothing, you?” she replied
“I was wondering if you wanted to hang out.” I inquired
“Totally, hey do you want to have a sleepover?” Susie said with enthusiasm
“Yeah let me go ask my mom hang on” I put my phone down on my desk and went half way down stairs.
“Hey mom can Susie sleep over?”
“I don’t see why not!” My mom said
“Thanks mom!”
“Hey I’m back my mom said yes!” I told Susie
“So did my mom! I’ll my over in 10 minutes, bye!” Susie said
I hung up the phone. I was so excited; I have not had a sleep over in ages! When Susie came over we played music, danced, played truth or dare (we didn’t do very many truths because we already know everything about each other), we prank called our teachers and classmates, we gave each other marker tattoos. Susie and I crashed at 1 a.m. and didn’t wake up until 12 the next morning.
The next day, the first day of summer was better than the day before. Susie went home at 2 and after that my mom had to go to target to get something (I am not quite sure what) when it happened…

We were at Target in the kitchen appliances area; I knew I was going to be bored so I brought my iPod. I was listening to the new Taylor Swift song (Love Story to be exact). I was singing really loud I didn’t notice because I had my ear buds in. All of a sudden some guy had his hand on my shoulder. I screamed so loud!
“What do you want?” I was out of breath.
“I am sorry I didn’t mean to startle you. My name is Todd Johnson.” Todd Johnson put his out.
I shook it slowly and said “The Todd Johnson the music agent?” I was freaking out on the inside.
“Yep, that’s me! I think you have an amazing voice! I would like to make you a famous singer! What do you say?” Todd offered.
“Uh Yeah!” I was jumping up and down with joy!
“Ok! Well how does 2 hours every Saturday in the recording studio so we can record your first CD sound? Oh and you can come to Ms…” He stopped
“Mrs. Harrington” My mom said
“Ah Mrs. Harrington you can come too.” He finished
“Sounds great, we will see you Saturday!” My mom said and shook his hand.

Dear Diary,
Today was just about the best day EVER! I met the one and only Todd Johnson and he offered to make me a famous singer! Next Saturday I am going to the recording studio! I am SOOOOO PUMPED! Todd is so nice, I can’t wait until Saturday!

Sincerely,
Daniella S. Harrington
P.S. Todd found me at Target!

Today is Saturday. We pulled up to a building there was a sign that read Johnson recording company.
“Wow it’s so professional!” I looked wide-eyed at the building. We walked through clear automatic doors Todd was standing there waiting to greet us. When we walked into the studio and there was a guy who introduced himself as Jim Tree-Ford. Jim Tree-Ford was going to talk to me about what I wanted my songs to sound like. I told him I wanted pop sounds he had a couple written and we recorded them that day!

My first CD came out on July 8th. It was a very successful CD two of the songs, We Were Meant To Be and Dance, made it to the top 10! It was weird to hear my songs on the radio but it was really cool too! I now have many fans including Susie. She is very supportive and I haven’t forgotten her. You know why I haven’t forgotten her; she is one of my back ground singers! Actually she is my only one!
I have not had a sixth dream about being a singer because now I am living them. It’s like I never woke up.

Interact Club

Hi, hi! In one of my last blogs I told you about my wonderful school. Now I am going to tell you about a new after school club in my school. The club is called Interact.
The club is all about helping people and interacting with other kids/people.

Our first project is raising money for Blood: Water Mission. Blood: Water Mission helps the people of Kenya Africa, who have to walk over 72 miles to get water. Can you believe that? We only have to walk into out kitchens to get crystal clean water. Their water is filthy, muddy, and carries diseases. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00. It costs $7,000.00 to build a well, so they can have pure water. Another thing to think about is that we have water parks and sea world. How can we have so much water when they don’t? How can we waste so much water when they cannot waste a single drop of their water? These are just a couple things to think about the next you take a 20 minute shower, keep the water running while you brush your teeth, or waste any water...

My OTHER Pets!

Welcome to my blog! I know I already told you about my cats but I would like to tell you about my OTHER pets. I have had 5 guinea pigs, three hamsters, and two rats.

Three of my five guinea pigs were my friend’s guinea pig’s babies. They were named Marshmallow, S’mores, and Poppy Seed. Marshmallow was all white and had curly hair. S’mores had orange and white curly hair. Poppy Seed was our one and only smooth haired guinea pig. Poppy Seed had a black head and a white body. My other two guinea pigs we got from the pet store. Their names were Cupcake and Mushroom. Cupcake is all white and curly, just like Marshmallow. Mushroom had two different color browns on her head and a white body.

I have had three hamsters. Two were teddy bear hamsters and one was Russian Dwarf Hamster. The two teddy bear hamsters were named Fluffy and Cuddles. Fluffy was this kind of orange and yellow color and white. Cuddles was gray and white. Our last hamster was Wally the Russian Dwarf Hamster. She was very small, almost half the size of the teddy bear hamsters. My sister and my mom rescued Wally from the pet store her and her 9 other siblings were taken there and sold for snake food. My mom and my sister saved her life.

I still have my two rats, Lindsey Lu and Maggie Mae. Lindsey is brown and white. Maggie is black and white. I have had them for almost two years. I got them for my 12th birthday present. They are a lot of fun to play with. They like to sit on my shoulder and on the back of my neck.
I love having little hamsters or guinea pigs or rats. I hope you liked to learn about my furry little animals.

School!

Greetings blog readers! This time I would like to tell you a little bit more about my school and why I enjoy going to school every day.

Walden Community School was started in 2002 by my mother. I was in first grade when it was started and has been there ever since. The school started off with only two students, me and my sister, Katie. Walden has gone through many changes. We had two students, then four, then ten, then four again, and now we are back to ten! What I love about it is that I have so many friends. I don’t have as many as someone that was in a public or private school, but we are all pretty close. I try hang out with everyone, even the people that are six years younger than me. Walden believes in hands on learning and child center learning. Most public school kids have about 8 different classrooms and eight different teachers. I on the other hand have two teachers, and only one classroom. For our core curriculum we use a virtual school. I really like using virtual school. My favorite part of doing school work on the computer is that I can take tests on Saturdays. Most people would probably say, “Why would you want to take a test on a Saturday?” I that’s what I like about it, I can work when I want, not what my classmates and teachers want. I just like to wake up on a Saturday and take a test. I love waking up and going to school. I don’t really know why I just really like to go to school.

Now you know more about my school and why I enjoy going to school every day.

My Trip To Europe!

Hi ya, thanks for coming back . In this blog I’m going to write a bit about my recent trip to Italy and France.
<--Coliseum
On December 16th my family and I boarded a two hour airplane to New Jersey. Then from New Jersey we went on our 6 hour plane ride to Paris, France. In Paris we went to, the Louve, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, D’Orsay and the Sacre Coeur. When we saw the Eiffel Tower we went to the top! The view from the top was amazing! Paris was really cold, but it a lot of fun! We walked around everywhere; we also did a lot of fun shopping.
LeaningTower of Pisa ---->

In Italy we went to Rome was the first city we stopped in. While in Rome we went to Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps, the coliseum, and the Vatican Museum. After the second day in Rome we took a train to Florence. In Florence we went to, the Uffizi, La Specola, Bargello, and the Academia. In Europe we went to a lot of different churches. They all had very pretty ceiling.

In Florence we took a couple side trips. The first side trip was to Sienna. Sienna is very pretty it has narrow streets and tall building. Then we went to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Another side trip we went on was to Padua. Padua is a city that was built in honor of St. Anthony. Then we went to Venice. I think Venice is the coolest place in Italy. There are no streets just canals with boats.
To end this blog I want to say that I had a lot of fun in Europe! I hope you enjoyed learning about my recent trip to Europe!

My cats!

Hey, I’m guessing since you’re back you liked my last blog. As I mentioned in my last blog I have four cats; Sabrina, Salem, Stella, and Luna.

<--Stella Luna -->

First let’s learn a bit about Stella and Luna. Stella and Luna are three years old. We got them on Christmas Eve, 2005. Stella is the

active cat. She has a black face except a white point on her nose and between her eyes. Her body is also black and white. Luna is the fat cat. She is also black and white, but her face is mostly black. Stella and Luna like to hide and don’t like to be held or petted that much.

Now it’s Sabrina and Salem’s turn. Sabrina and Salem are just a little over one year old. We got them in February of 2008. They are black and white just like Stella and Luna. Salem and Sabrina look pretty much the same but Salem is like twice the size of her. Also Sabrina had a white tip on her tail. Unlike Stella and Luna, Sabrina and Salem love to be petted and held, As a matter of fact Sabrina is sitting right next to me as I type this.
Salem Sabrina

That’s about all I have to say about my cats for now. Stay tuned I will be writing more posts in the near future.

About me!

Hello there, since this is my first official blog I thought that I'd tell you a little about myself!

My name is Carolynn Jeanne, although my friends and family call me Carrie! I was born on April 13th, 1996. My parents are Tony and Carol, I have a sister is named Katie. Katie and I are two years and four months apart. We are best friends even though we fight a lot. I have four cats, Sabrina, Salem, Stella, and Luna. I started school in a large private school. As I finished my second year my mother decided that this school wasn't a good fit for me. My mother then started the school I am going to now, Walden Community School. This school believes in hands on learning and not having a teacher be responsible for more than about 10 kids. Walden Community School is also multiage, I have friends that are 16, 10, and my age!

In my spare time I like to, play with my friends, swim, play my Wii with my friends, dance, play tennis, and go on bike rides with my friends. On my Wii I like to play, Mario Kart, Wii Fit, and other Mario games. I take dance lessons once a week with one of my friends. My friends and I go on bike rides almost every single weekend.

Well I don’t want to go on to long about me, so I’ll end this one and will write again soon.

Thanks for reading!
